RICHARD Wilkinson made up for lost time by scoring four times in his first start of the RJF Homes Beckett League season.

He provided the cutting edge as Rosedale beat Thornton-le-Dale 7-2 with John Tindal, Martin Myers and Ken Weatherall getting the others. Will Dunnett and Dwain Young scored for Dale.

Kirkdale United maintained their great start to the season with a 4-1 home win against Black Swan, who snatched an 18th minute lead through Adrian Voicu.

Chris Simpson equalised for Kirkdale, whose second half dominance was reflected by goals from Mark Langdale, Phil Charlton and Graham Jemison.

Pickering Royal Oak won only their second league game of the season as they defeated Sinnington 3-1 with goals by Daman Cox (2) and Adam Hornby. Joe Turnbull scored Sinnington's consolation effort.

Danny Cass netted five goals as Heslerton Reserves thrashed Ampleforth 11-0 in division two. Second half sub Sam Needham opened his account for the season with a hat-trick and the rout was completed by Dave Hornby (2) and Jerry Field.

Richard Abbey nicked a point for Union Rovers in their 2-2 home draw with Ryedale SC with a goal five minutes from the end.

Rovers opened the scoring through Peter Tiffeny on 70 minutes by Ryedale stunned their hosts by taking the lead through Sean Dixon, after a great run by Richard Bradley, and Bradley's thumping header from a Dave Jenkins corner.

Carlton United condemned Coxwold to only their second league defeat of the season with a 3-1 win thanks to goals by Darren Beattie (2) and a Steve Kilduff penalty after Daniel Jaques gave Coxwold the lead.

Gillamoor paid for poor finishing when they were beaten 2-0 at home by Bagby and Balk.
