A company which temporarily provides small and medium-sized business with financial hard-hitters has opened up new offices in York.
Finance Directors (Yorkshire) Ltd, has expanded for the first time outside Bradford to the Westminster Business Park, at Nether Poppleton, to tap into the growing dynamism of York
Formed 18 years ago the venture has a team of 12, including seven experienced commercial financial directors, supported by three management accountants and a wealth of general management talent.
Its aim: To give smaller firms the same financial punch as big corporations by offering an as-needed service to foster growth - typically tasks in business planning, raising finance, offering non-executive directorship and help with company sales and acquisitions.
Where corporations pay thousands per week for their permanent financial guru, Finance Director (Yorkshire Ltd) charges about £300 per week.
John Holliss, managing director, said: "So far we have operated across the county from north to south but we wanted to put particular emphasis on York which we see as rapidly expanding, with a dynamic business community from whom we can derive mutual benefit."
Heading up a four-person Nether Poppleton office is Andy Collier, formerly with Touche Ross of Leeds.
