FOUR young high-tech ventures which are the first to benefit from a new multi-million pound fund for the city are being unveiled at The Mansion House in York on November 25.
The occasion will be the annual meeting of York Business Development Ltd (YBDL) which in May last year launched the pace-setting York Technology Growth Scheme.
Seven banks in the city have linked arms with YBDL as well as Science City York and individual business "angels" to promote the scheme which will plug the "equity gap" for businesses needing up to £250,000.
All have pledged a total of at least £7 million to pump prime brilliant ideas into commercial success stories.
Norman Whyte, chief executive of YBDL said: ""We are using our annual general meeting to promote the scheme and, more importantly, the businesses and people behind those groundbreaking projects which we believe will bring both prosperity and kudos to the city over the coming months and years."
