Copmanthorpe produced the York Leeper Hare premier division performance of the day in beating top of the table Malton Bacon Factory on their own ground.

Falling behind to a Darryl Craggs goal after 20 minutes, visiting Copmanthorpe struck back through Steve Cross three minutes later but immediately conceded an own goal after a mix-up.

Ten minutes after the break the Malton hosts went further in front with a Simon Collins strike.

But Cross netted twice again to level matters and then Terry Hibbert snatched a late winner from a corner.

Lowly Nestl Rowntree came within a whisker of taking points off Pocklington.

A Ben Langford cross found the head of Roger Osborne in only the second minute to put 'Trees in front and they held the lead until the 70th minute when Neil Wilford struck a 20-yard shot which deceived the Rowntree 'keeper. Then, Rowntrees conceded a late goal, netted by Dan Bonham two minutes from time.

Rufforth competed well at Dringhouses and twice held the lead in the first half but goals from Lee Bond and Gary Kitson ensured the home side turned round on level terms. Second half goals from Mark Woodward (2) and Bond gave Dringhouses a 5-2 win.

Hamilton Panthers took over at the top of division one after a 2-1 win at home to New Earswick while South Bank were held 2-2 by Norwich Union.

A goal by James Shepherd after 20 minutes for the Panthers was followed by one from Simon Marshall before Jon Smith netted for New Earswick, whose play defied their lowly league position.

South Bank were two up by the break at Norwich Union but an own goal and a Matt Hildon penalty ten minutes from time denied them maximum points.

Post Office's recent good form deserted them as St John's College won 3-2 via goals from Andy Sherlock (2) and Chris Walker.

Haxby moved to third with a 6-2 home win over Thorpe United, whose cause was not aided by having two players sent off. Haxby took advantage with goals from Gavin Young, Mark Scoreby, Chris Dyson, Scott Barley (pen), Ben Drummond and Dave Cruddas.

Riccall gained their first win for some time with a 2-1 home success over Crayke thanks to goals by Andy Northern and Andy Phillips to move off the foot of the table.

Easingwold continued their division two promotion push at Moor Lane, where they took a four-goal lead after only 15 minutes - Rich Jennison (2), Eddie Myers, Micky Raper on target.

The home side pulled one back through Danny Yates before half time. Paul Jones managed another for the hosts but Jennison completed his hat-trick for a 5-2 triumph.

Wilberfoss are seven points clear in second place after beating third-placed Ouseburn 2-1. Darren Horsfield gave Ouseburn the lead with John Heads equalising. Shaun Hodgson netted the second half winner for Wilberfoss.

Huby and Heslington shared eight goals with brothers Martin Durrant (3) and John Durrant claiming Huby's plunder.

The Stillington v Fulford game was abandoned after 62 minutes with the score at 3-3 after Fulford's Mick Richardson sustained a serious leg injury. By the time the ambulance had arrived it was too dark to finish the match.

White Horse Church Fenton maintained their 100 per cent division three record with a 3-1 home win over struggling Wheldrake with John Williams, Lenny Mason and Dominic McHugh on target.
