HUGE crowds gathered to see the spectacle of four live - undressed - models in a York store window.
Browns department store in Parliament Street raised a few eyebrows, and lots of attention, when it featured the models wearing everything from evening wear to the latest hosiery with mini skirts.
For the first time the two female models were joined by two male counterparts in formal suits, who joined the ladies in their boxers to get in the mood.
"We have had huge crowds out there, at one stage you couldn't get through the doors for the throng," said Mandy Sowter, accessories, hosiery, lingerie and ladies' fashions manager.
"But happily we have also had many, many people in, this whole ground floor has been full all day, so we definitely think the models did their job.
"They definitely raised a smile, which was great."
Staff also joined in the fun. Two staff members joined the models in the window for the first time, and inside the store staff members were modelling parts of the specialist ranges to try to encourage shoppers.
"We have been trying to show our customers they can wear the latest fashions, even if its in tights, that they can try something different and have fun," said Mandy.
"I've been joining in wearing some special tights, and people have kept feeling my legs, so it's been an interesting day."
