SELBY eased their relegation worries with a surprise 19-17 win at high-flying Huddersfield YMCA in Yorkshire One.
The men from Sandhill Lane appeared to be heading for defeat but Paul Scott's last-minute penalty snatched victory against third third-placed team.
There was also a surprise at Scalby Road where bottom club Scarborough pulled off their first win in nine league matches whenn they beat Wheatley Hills 21-3 at Scalby Road.
Elsewhere in Yorkshire One, Goole defeated Dinnington 25-5 to move in to fifth place.
Despite missing six first-choice players, Nestl Rowntree were pleased to maintain their unbeaten home record with an 8-5 win against Northallerton 3rd XV.
A Craig Norris penalty was the only first half score. Northallerton went ahead when their fly-half regathered his own up and under to score in the corner.
Trees bounced back with a great try from replacement winger Sean Harvey, who fielded a kick and outpaced the cover for 50 metres.
Prop Neil Pearson was man of the match and Australian fly-half Ryan Bushell showed some good touches on his debut in his first game for three years.
