THE city council is right to reject water fluoridation ('Council opposes flouride in water', November 14).
The specific chemical which is used to fluoridate tap-water - hexafluorosilicic acid - has never been tested for safety.
I know this sounds incredible, but it is true. Hexafluorosilicic acid is an industrial-grade chemical which means it is contaminated.
If anyone wants to put this stuff in my drinking-water for the rest of my life, they can safety-test it first.
Is that too much to ask?
