CENTRE Elliot Bridges scored four tries as New Earswick All Blacks Amateur Rugby League Club Under-14s recorded an impressive 46-6 victory over Dewsbury Moor.
Other tries came from Daniel Lofthouse (2), Pat Smith Brian Wright, Joe Davis and Chris Young. Smith kicked two goals and Smith one.
York Acorn U12s were beaten 24-2 by Smawthorne in a competitive encounter. Ricky James kicked Acorn's only points with a first half penalty.
Jack Anderson and man-of-the-match Ryan Waters both scored hat-tricks as Acorn U9s beat Stanningley 42-26 in a feast of running rugby league.
Other tries came from Dominic Noone (2) and Harry Bromwich. Goals were kicked by Anderson, Sean Kellett, Tim Stubbs and Walters. Dion Sellers shone on the wing.
An under-strength Acorn U10s went down 56-10 to Castleford Panthers, who had nine substitutes in addition to their full side. Ryan Duffell and an half the length of the field effort by Peter Dunmore gave Acorn their tries. Ryan Gallagher, who tackled well, along with Tim Winn and Karl Read, kicked a goal.
Four-try Sam Orange was Acorn U11s man of the match in the 32-6 victory over Dewsbury Celtic.
Other touchdowns were scored by Callum Hannigan and Eddie Smith with Orange, Hannigan, Kyle Brown and Gareth Gibson kicked goals. Carl Loft and Ryan hamilton shone in defence.
Acorn U13s showed battling spirit in their 54-26 defeat against Headingley Hawks, who shot in to a 26-0 lead inside the first quarter of an hour.
Daniel Whittaker, David Magson (2), man of the match Oliver Hare and Thomas Wadsworth scored tries for Acorn.
Selby's first win
Selby Warriors Under-11s were celebrating after their first Yorkshire League win - a 28-12 triumph over Headingley Hawks.
Hawks had won both pre-season gamed between the two teams so the victory underlined the improvement the Selby youngsters have made this season.
Warriors' touchdowns came from Kurt Cookson, Carl Wilkinson, Josh Parkin (2) and Daniel Bate, with Adam Chappell kicking the rest of the points.
Luke Liddle was the player of the match for the third week running.
