ALEX HOLLIDAY scored a hat-trick as Harrogate Grammar School opened their Daily Mail Schools U18 Vase account with a 52-0 win over Benton Park.
There were also tries for James Fraser, Luke Hopkins, Alistair Kelsey, James Spencer and Tom Farley, while Rob Glenwright kicked five conversions and Ben Oswin one.
"As the score suggests, it was a fairly one-sided game against a very young Benton Park team," said Harrogate coach Roy Mackay.
"We handled the ball well and that was the key to our success, with all but two of the scores coming from the backs."
Harrogate, who were unlucky to be knocked out of the Daily Mail Schools U18 Cup in the first round on the away rule after drawing 7-7 with Ripon Grammar School, now face Prince Henry's Grammar School, Otley, in the second round of the Vase.
