Simon Dyson is preparing for life on the European Challenge Tour after losing his full card and failing to win it back at this month's Qualifying School in Spain.
The Malton and Norton golfer will now need to finish in the top 15 of next year's Challenge Tour Order of Merit to be welcomed back on to the full tour.
Most of the Challenge Tour events are held in Europe although there were also tournaments staged in Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica and Zambia last year.
First, Dyson will be flying to Hong Kong to take part in the Omega Open on December 4.
He won that competition in 2000 and has also indicated that he might make an odd appearance on the Asian Tour during gaps in the Challenge Tour's calendar.
The 25-year-old professional is a previous winner of the Asian Order of Merit.
