THE Evening Press reported on two inquests presided over by the York Coroner (November 7). I knew both the deceased, Sally Baldwin and Anne Temple.
The former died in horrible circumstances, in Rome; a post-mortem was held, the body was returned to this country and the inquest opened, all within two weeks. By contrast, the inquest into the death of Anne Temple, who spent almost all her life in York, took more than 18 months.
Your report gives no indication about why this delay occurred. Many of her friends, concerned at the circumstances of her death, would like know why.
Dr Richard Crossley,
Arncliffe Mews, York.
