Wanted: A new voluntary chairman of the board of York Housing Association, which celebrates its 40th anniversary next year.
The active board, consisting of 15 members, meets five times a year to determine the long-term strategy and direction for the organisation, which provides more than 500 high-quality homes within and outside the city walls.
Christine Storrs, York HA's chief executive, said: "We are an independent, social business looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, with an interest in social housing, who is interested in contributing to the local community. It is a strategic role, ideally for someone from a business background, with a wealth of experience of chairing meetings." Closing date for applications is November 26. Interviews will take place in early December. To receive an information pack or to have an informal discussion, please phone Christine Storrs on 01904 636061 or email christinestorrs@yorkha.org.uk.
