Rufforth gave Leeper Hare York and District League premier division table-toppers Malton Bacon Factory a competitive game until two goals early in the second half turned the tide in favour of the Factory side

Tom McKay scored for Rufforth midway through the first half.

One minute after the restart Jamie Barker equalised and seven minutes later Nicky Cass put the Factory side in front.

Nigel Allen made sure of the points when he hit their third with 15 minutes to go.

Baz Gargett put Pocklington ahead at home to Dunnington five minutes before the break.

Rich Millett made it 2-0 and Pocklington got three goals in the last ten minutes as Gargett completed his hat-trick and Millett netted his second.

Old Malton entertained Copmanthorpe and after a blank first half Terry Hibbert put the visitors in front on the hour mark.

A penalty was awarded to the home side with three minutes remaining and Dave Bradshaw gratefully struck an equaliser and the points were shared.

Osbaldwick continue to leak goals at an alarming rate. After last week's nine, they conceded seven to second from bottom Bishopthorpe.

Facing a low sun and against the wind they fell behind after only five minutes, were two down in the ninth and it was 4-0 at half time.

With the wind and sun behind them Osbaldwick would have expected to make a better showing in the second half but defensive mistakes gifted Bishopthorpe two further goals before ten minutes had elapsed and they rounded off the scoring on the hour mark.

Greg Fitzmaurice (2), Ben Clarke (2), Eddie Wegelius, Paul Halliday and Neil Sanderson boosted Bishopthorpe's goal tally for the season.
