COUNTY Durham trainer Michael Dods is aiming to strike while the iron is hot at Lingfield tomorrow.

Darlington-based Dods returns to the Surrey course with Mr Bountiful, following the gelding's success on the same Surrey track five days ago.

That victory, gained in the hands of Shane Kelly, proved the five-year-old's ability to operate on this Polytrack surface.

With Kelly again on board, and over the same distance, Mr Bountiful is my fancy to follow-up in the first division of the seven-furlongs handicap, sponsored by Littlewoods Bet Direct, which support the entire card.

Freak Occurence, a winner at Redcar a fortnight ago, bids to supplement that success in the one-mile nursery.

Trained by Emma Lavelle, whose horses, under both codes, are running out of their skins, Freak Occurence showed a good attitude to score at Redcar.

If he is as effective on this all-weather surface, he should be hard to beat. Steve Drowne again has the mount.

Drowne looks poised to enjoy a lucrative afternoon. He also teams-up with Inchclassic in the first division of the six-furlongs maiden, and Brian Meehan's promising filly should make a bold bid.

My Nap selection Gallery Breeze, who has been in cracking form lately, looks good for hat-trick honours in the second leg of the seven-furlongs handicap.

Alan Daly again has the mount on John Spearing's four-year-old, whose two recent successes include one over this course and distance.

Cold Turkey will be bidding to extend an even more impressive sequence in the amateur riders' handicap. Winner of his last three starts, Gary Moore's charge, proven over this course and distance, will be a tough nut to crack.

Over the sticks at Towcester, the Sharp Handicap Chase offers trainer Kim Bailey and jockey JP McNamara the chance to follow-up their success with Longshanks at Haydock yesterday.

The duo will be represented by Kelantan, who, like Longshanks, is coming back after a break. If he proves to be as fit as his stable-companion, he will be hard to catch.

Talented trainer Hughie Morrison, who has had a great year, can add to his tally of winners with Ela Jay in division one of the gg.com Mares Only Novies' Hurdle. A six-lengths winner at Folkestone last time, she has more on her plate here but the stable is in flying form.

Also worth noting at Towcester is the useful Max Pride, who is returning from a break, after winning two of his last three starts last season. He should not be overlooked in the Bank of Scotland Handicap Hurdle.
