MALTON and Norton Golf Club's Simon Dyson faced a nail-biting time today in his struggle to hang on to his European Tour card.
He was in action in Emporda, Spain, in the last round of the Qualifying School needing to finish in the top 35 to regain his prestigious card.
Dyson is right on the edge, going in to today's final round in joint 35th place so his future remained in the balance.
However, he did have a two-stroke advantage over the next clutch of players.
Dyson was among the top 81 players to progress beyond the opening four rounds at Emporada and Pals after totalling 274 with rounds of 70 65 71 and 68.
His solid 70 yesterday left him on 13 under.
