SOME residents may take a dim view of some of the recent changes on lighting on their estate.
Some of the columns have been changed. That's fine, but the tops are not all the same.
They could cast dark shadows on may parts making the lighting worse in some areas.
When the engineering department was contacted I was made aware that consultation was not needed. What about crime prevention officer involvement? We shall have to wait and see if the lighting department have got it right.

...WHY is City of York Council trying to sell off our estate's 30-year-old concrete lamp posts and replace them with taller metal ones?
Residents may not be enlightened or delighted with the new shiny, rust-proof lamp-standard.
Are these 'easy-climb, Peeping Tom' models, manufactured in the new hi-tech 'anti-dog-rot' metal?
