WELL done to Janet Kitchen ("My grimy, filthy, disgusting... train journey", Letters, October 30).
I wholeheartedly agree with her.
When is this country ever going to be "Great" Britain again? Will we ever have public services of which we can be proud of?
I too travel quite frequently with my husband on the York to Manchester Airport route. Leave York station between 3am and 4am for an early flight and you are in for a surprise - and not a very nice one.
I suggest the citizens of York and Britain as a whole to start complaining about things which are not working properly and which they would like to put right. But do be careful whom you complain to, make sure it goes to all the right people.
The Evening Press is a brilliant sounding board to start with.
Has Janet written to complain to the customer service department of the train company she had the problem with?
Janet, if you do, you never know what may happen. We wait in hope.
