IN-FORM jockey Graham Lee can shine at his local course tomorrow.

Cleveland-based Lee rides at Sedgefield with a good chance of winning aboard Bergamo in the Tote betXpress Handicap Hurdle.

Trained at Norton by Brian Ellison, Bergamo was beaten a neck on his latest visit to this course a fortnight ago.

That defeat was to Highland Tracker, who had been off the track for more than two years, and who was sent off at 28-1. All that considered, the winner had been a promising horse before he was sidelined with injury.

Running over the same distance of almost two and threequarter miles tomorrow, Bergamo can provide Lee with another pay-day.

Lee, who recently rode four winners at Wetherby, which included the Charlie Hall Chase on Ballybough Rasher, was again on the mark at Southwell yesterday when he recorded a 24 lengths triumph on Tom's Prize, a horse now bound for the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup.

Liberty Seeker, a 25-1 winner at Sedgefield last month, gets the opportunity to prove tomorrow in the Margaret Hamilton's Hardwick Arms Novices' Hurdle that that success was no fluke.

Trained by Alan Swinbank, the four-year-old scored with some authority from the well-regarded Petrula, with the odds-on favourite Zibeline, well held in third.

That form looks pretty solid and, over the same distance tomorrow, Liberty Seeker could well follow-up under a penalty. Padge Whelan again has the mount.

Themanfromcarlisle deserves attention in the Purebed Handicap Chase over two miles.

The seven-year-old got off the mark over fences at Plumpton last month when scoring by two-and-a-half lengths in the hands of Tony McCoy. Claimer Ian Jardine takes over tomorrow in a race which will likewise take little winning.

Len Lungo has yet to get his team into top gear, but the Dumfriesshire trainer can begin his major assault with mt Nap selection Joint Authority in the Gosforth Decorating And Building Supplies Maiden Chase.

Tony Dobbin's mount finished second to Moscow Dancer in a hurdle race at Kelso last time. This switch to the bigger obstacles should be in his favour.

At Huntingdon, make a note of Wakeup Smiling in the Astron Winning Post Novices' Hurdle.

The five-year-old finished in the money in two of his three races last season, and he looks a likely money-spinner this term.

Wakeup Smiling is trained by the very capable Emma Lavelle, who has good prospects of a double with the in-form Supreme Arrow in the Igloos Handicap Chase half an hour later.

Also worth noting at Huntingdon are the promising Imperative (2.10) and the potentially smart Alvino (3.10).

Pat Eddery, who had his final rides in Britain last Saturday at Doncaster, will have the last rides of his career in Mauritius on December 7 at an international jockeys' challenge meeting.
