A BIG thank you to the new Joseph Rowntree Theatre Committee, its patrons and friends of the theatre for giving this popular little venue a new lease of life.
Down the years it has looked rather tired, drab and uncomfortable - but not anymore.
Because of all their hard work in raising much-needed funds, the theatre has now a bright and cheerful foyer, comfortable seating with plenty of leg room and a new carpet to give the auditorium a most welcoming look.
The autumn and winter programme is now in full swing with something for everybody, from musicals to the ever-popular pantomime, and the not-to-be-missed Sunday evening music nights.
I urge the people of York to keep supporting this lovely little theatre, it's there for us all to enjoy.
Mrs S Clark,
Rosedale Avenue,
Acomb, York.
