A FEW weeks back this column noted how former City defender Tom Cowan's career was enjoying an Indian Summer at Dundee.
Released by City at the end of last season and seemingly set for a career outside the game, Cowan hooked up with the Scottish Premier League outfit during the summer.
Cowan suddenly found himself playing in the UEFA Cup against Italian outfit Perugia, against Rangers in front of 50,000 fans at Ibrox and alongside new team mate Fabrizio Ravenelli.
However, now it appears Cowan has jumped from the frying pan into the fire at Dens Park.
Reports from across the border suggest Dundee are in danger of being closed down by the Inland Revenue after failing to pay a £68,000 tax bill.
Club officials insist the bill will be paid, but Cowan will no doubt be feeling a dreaded sense of deja-vu.
