Pony-tailed poet, folk musician and painter Tony Morris is releasing his debut album, Changing Tracks.

The performance poet from Heworth Green, York, has recorded 15 tracks, featuring his poetry accompanied by Tony on 11 instruments, such as African guitar, harmonica, Appalachian dulcimer, Native American flute, Bardic harp and banjo.

Mixed and mastered by Alistair Russell at Glade Recordings, Leeds, Changing Tracks' musical poems include Road Rage, Health Warning, White Van Driver and White Roses For A Grey Lady.

"My poetry covers topics from current issues to folk stories in a variety of styles," says Tony. "I accompany these with music improvised on a wide range of instruments, and I'm constantly experimenting with different combinations of poems and music.

"This album is the first time the public has had the chance to listen to my work away from my live performances."
