THIS is the time of year for remembrance, when we honour those who lost their lives serving their country.
In York, the Festival Of Remembrance has become an important date in the local calendar. Once a year, the York Barbican Centre fills with servicemen and women, past and present.
So last night's announcement that the festival may not have a home next year will be upsetting to many. Let's hope the sale of the Barbican doesn't extinguish this fine and emotional event.
