Sleeve: Schoolboy in goal celebration pose on the front; track listings and band portrait in green on back.
Sleevenotes: Great detail by Mick Houghton and good use of early photos.
Content: Comprehensive guide to the great singles from 1978-1981. Not in chronological order but with the quality it doesn't matter.
High points: My Perfect Cousin with some of the best punk lyrics; Teenage Kicks, in John Peel's words "Simply the best single of all times".
Low point: Wednesday Week, too weak.
Glaring omissions?: No.
Anything new?: Bonus DVD of original Teenage Kicks video; trailer for imminent Undertones retrospective DVD.
Justified or feeble excuse for release?: Excellent timing; hot on the heels of Get What You Need, the new album with new material and singer.
Where might this end up: Stocking filler.
