Persistent Saville finally overcame Forest FC 4-2 in the York FA Sunday Cup after being twice behind.
Mick Grave put Forest ahead but James Dawson equalised, only for Forest to regain the lead through Andrew Lovett.
Saville again drew level with a cracking shot by Andy Barrass from the edge of the penalty area.
Saville took the lead for the first time when Jon Huberry netted from the spot and Steve Griffiths made the game safe following a great solo run.
Black Dog took the lead over Clifton FC, but by half-time goals by Bill Allan and Ross Moynhian put Clifton into a lead. They tighten their grip with further goals by Lee Barker, Kevin Butler and a second from Allan for a 5-1 win.
Danny Woodgrave latched on to a cross midway in the second half to net the only goal in the game as Heworth defeated Yearsley Grove.
