SINNINGTON moved four points clear after beating a weakened Old Malton 3rds 3-1 in division one of the RJF Homes Beckett Football League.
The Sinners went ahead with an own goal after a 22nd minute cross by substitute David Wilkinson.
Joseph Turnbull made it 2-0 after half time but Stuart Clarkson pulled a goal back and Old Malton 3rds battled on for an equaliser but Lee Mitchell knocked in a third for Sinnington.
As a result of their 2-1 win over Aislaby United, Kirkdale United have moved up into second.
After a goal-less first half, Aislaby took the lead with a stunning 40-yard freekick from experienced Kian Brewster.
Kirkdale snatched an equaliser within two minutes through Ashley Windress but Ian Prendergast scored the winner for Kirkdale after Andrew Collier worked hard for the assist.
Rosedale are hot on the heels of Aislaby after their 4-2 defeat of Pickering Royal Oak.
Penalties in the 30th and 34th minutes from Ken Weatherill gave Rosedale the lead at half time.
Richard Pugh reduced the arrears a minute after the interval as he headed in a corner but Martin Myers scored twice to put Rosedale 4-1 up. John Reed's goal for Royal Oak was little consolation.
Black Swan Pickering's 'keeper David Sturgess saved a penalty four minutes from time to ensure his side drew 0-0 with Kirkbymoorside Reserves.
Rovers win to stay top
Union Rovers still lead division two of the RJF Homes Beckett League by two points after a 4-2 win against Carlton United.
Tony Barratt, the ex-York City player, was influential on his debut for Rovers in a tense first half:
Carlton went 1-0 up in the first minute but a double from Peter Tiffany put Rovers in front. The lead didn't last long as Paul Reynard equalised before Ian Blanchard regained the lead for Rovers before half time.
The only goal of the second half came from Rovers' substitute Tony Finlinson.
Gillamoor got their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw against Ryedale Sports Centre - but they almost got maximum points.
They were leading 2-1 but were denied victory by Sean Dixon's equaliser. Earlier Dave Jenkins put Ryedale ahead after 10 minutes with a spectacular 20-yard lob. Gillamoor stormed back with Gary Stamper's 25-yard shot and he went on to grab a second goal which looked like giving Gillamoor a rare win until Dixon's leveller.
Danny Cass grabbed a goal in each half and Matty Cass also got one to steer Heslerton Reserves to a 3-1 win over Bagby and Balk.
