A £400,000 contract to build a new library has been won by North Yorkshire-based Severfield-Reeve Projects.
Construction work has started on the new 3,300 sq ft, single-storey library on Dewsbury Road, Leeds, which will also incorporate office and kitchen facilities and is due to be completed in March 2004. The Leeds City Council contract, which was won against tough competition, extends Thirsk-based Severfield-Reeve Projects successful tenders outside its "home territory" in North Yorkshire and the North East.
