A DOZY contractor placed a sign on a York cycle path which suggested the city was 15 miles away, while Selby was a mere half a mile further on.
The sign is to be changed, which is just as well.
Cyclists heading into York would have been delighted, believing they had sailed through the last 15 miles in no time. But those heading the other way would have arrived in Selby surprised and saddle sore after the longest 900 yards they had ever endured.
