I DON'T often read Chris Titley's column because of his usual sarcastic and insulting remarks.
I did, however, read his column about TV programmes (October 22).
Does Chris think television is there just for him? Many people, including the elderly who cannot get out, watch TV and enjoy programmes such as Last Of The Summer Wine.
There should be a wide mixture of programmes to suit all ages and interests.
We all pay our same licence fees.

...IT was with regret that I read the BBC is ending the classic programme This Is Your Life hosted by Michael Aspel (October 21).
Down the years, the programme has hailed what people can achieve in their lifetime for the good of others. Many guests came from poor backgrounds to find success by their own efforts. It showed what can be achieved with determination. I shall miss this show.
