New Earswick hauled themselves off the foot of the John Smith's York Sunday League division one table with a 2-0 win at Derwent United.
The hero was Stimpson, who scored both the goals.
The game at York RI was a dull affair in the first half but came to life with an opening strike from Neil Ducey.
Fletcher equalised for Ainsty Panthers with a superb solo effort and two minutes later gave them the lead with a second strike.
Only a brilliant save from the home keeper prevented the visitors from extending their lead and that proved to be the turning point as Severus scored four times through Jones, Ducey, Moss and Mole in the final quarter to give them a flattering 5-2 scoreline.
A hat-trick from Darlow and one apiece from Ford and Young gave Marcia a 5-1 triumph over Pocklington, while first-half goals from Mitchell, Bills and Jackson were enough to see Hounds home 3-1 at Acomb WMC.
John Alcock scored twice as division two leaders Wigginton GH beat Shipton 3-1.
Blacksmiths Arms came from behind to record a 3-2 home win over Bridge Colts, James Whelan scoring twice.
Crangle, Triffitt and Jackson all netted two as Deramore Arms recorded their first win of the season 7-3 against York Nomads.
Acomb SC beat Nestle Flag thanks to goals from Beech and Byford.
Two goals in the last five minutes saw Turpin record their sixth successive victory in division three, this time at the expense of St Clement's WMC.
Halliday gave St Clement's the lead only for Cross to level and then for Bastock to give Turpin a first-half lead. Phillips equalised for the visitors on the hour before Cross converted a penalty with four minutes left and then Bastock sealed the points in the last minute.
Broadbent netted a hat-trick as Bishopthorpe hit six at Burnholme, Massey scoring the consolation.
Taylor, Drummond and Jeffrey got the goals as Haxby Lions won 3-2 at Fulford, for whom Tooley and Thompson netted. Goddard scored twice as Boot & Slipper drew 3-3 with Hemingbrough, and Inland Revenue beat Black Bull 5-1.
