LIKE a drug-addled journey through a manic fun-house, the third album from pioneering UK dance act Basement Jaxx is a riotous assault on your senses.
Influenced by electro-clash, disco and garage, Simon and Felix have taken the best bits of the music scene at the moment and funked them up as far as they can go. The result is faultless and hangs together far better then their previous two releases. While Supersonic and Good Luck are in the traditional Basement Jaxx US House vein, new single Lucky Star, featuring man of the moment Dizzee Rascal, is pure perfection, coming at you from all angles with a fusion of Arabic beats, dirty bass and Nineties' acid house. Plug It In and Right Here's The Spot, with their androgynous vocals, are sexy little numbers that just won't leave your head and Siouxsie Sioux collaboration Cish Cash rounds proceedings off nicely. Original, catchy and totally danceable, Kish Kash is a mish-mash that'll mess with your mind.
