AN AC/DC fanatic from York, will see his idols play an exclusive gig tonight - despite it selling out within four minutes.
Arnie "Tivvy" Gomersall, whose band, Stealer, were formed in tribute to the Australian rock gods, was one of only 4,000 people lucky enough to get a ticket for the show at London's Hammersmith Apollo.
Thousands of fans from across the country applied through the internet and the first 4,000 were drawn randomly after only four minutes. Drummer Arnie, 55, a fibreglass engineer, from Burnholme Avenue, has been passionate about them for years and even dresses in the famous schoolboy costume worn by AC/DC's guitarist, Angus Young.
"I'm over the moon - I can't believe it." he said.
"AC/DC play heavy, raunchy rock and put on a great show."
Stealer play at the CERT 18 bar, in Gillygate, York, on November 1.
