WHILE walking through York recently, I was interested to see what looked like an ambulance with the words 'Patient Transport Service' in large letters on the side.
I continued on my way for a while pondering this apparently convoluted language, when I noticed that the vehicle was moving slightly more slowly than I was. It was then that I realised that I had perhaps misunderstood the meaning of the word 'patient'.
