THEY don't make them like Billy Hughes any more. The dazzling wing skills of Mr Hughes, who died last week aged 74, helped speed York City all the way to the FA Cup semi-final in 1955. His memory should inspire the Minstermen as they seek a much-needed win against Oxford tonight.
But Mr Hughes was more than a talented footballer. He was a generous man who always took time to speak to his many fans. Some of today's Premier League stars could do well to learn from a player who was also a gentleman.
