YORK CITY could be facing censure from the Football Association.
Referee Tony Leake indicated after the match he will be reporting an alleged incident of bottle throwing at Bootham Crescent on Saturday.
Immediately after Boston scored their equaliser and as City prepared to restart the game, Boston 'keeper Paul Bastock handed Leake a plastic bottle.
It appeared the bottle was thrown on to the pitch from the David Longhurst Stand although it is not known whether it hit the Boston shot-stopper.
City communications director Sophie McGill said: "The match official reported the incident to the safety officer and a report has now been compiled and forwarded to the FA. The individual responsible for the action was ejected from the ground and discussions are in place at the club to determine how this incident will be dealt with. The club certainly does not condone behaviour of this nature."
