LOVE is in the air on and off stage for members of Tadcaster Amateur Operatic Society (TAOS).
Three weddings have taken place already this year and a fourth couple are to tie the knot next month, making Crazy For You the apt selection for the society's autumn production next week.
Philip and Jayne Nicholls met during rehearsals for The Sound Of Music two years ago, married earlier this year and are now expecting their first baby.
Adele Barlow (formerly Beattie), who works for Quantum Estate Agency in York, exchanged vows with husband Stephen in June at Bishopthorpe Church.
James Quinn, a stalwart of TAOS and TadChorale, wed Janice last month and, to complete the four weddings, TAOS member Paul Day will marry Janet Coatesworth next month. "It certainly seems to be catching," said publicity officer Linsey Fone. "Crazy For You couldn't be a more appropriate choice of show at the moment, but don't worry, we're not planning to stage Divorce Me Darling next year just in case!" Crazy For You runs at the Riley-Smith Hall, Tadcaster, from Monday until Saturday. Next Saturday night's performance has sold out, but tickets for the 2.30pm matinee that day and all other evenings are available at £6 to £9. Phone Helen Barson on 0845 2255770.
