SELBY Town will be looking to return to winning ways in tomorrow's FA Vase clash.

The Robins suffered their first Northern Counties East League premier division defeat of the season last midweek at the hands of Pickering Town and are now looking to raise their game as they take on Northern League division two side Newcastle Benfield at home.

"We have had a nice week off with last weekend's game being cancelled, so the lads should be fit and strong and raring to go for this game," said Town assistant-manager Les Kerr.

"Stuart Lee could not train this week, but we are hoping it was just a minor knock which should recover with some rest.

"He is a very influential player, so it would be important for him to be in action."

Winger Matt Wain will return from suspension and the rest of the squad are expected to be fit.

Little is known by the management team about the Northern League side, but Kerr is hoping the players will rise to the occasion.

"We have had a great start to the season and it will be good to get back to winning ways, but to do that we will have to really be trying," he said.

"Sometimes we have performed better against the top teams and let it slip against the poorer teams, we have come down to their level, so we will be looking for the lads to give it their all to get the result."
