IGGY needs no introduction, but this is Iggy plus guest stars.
Working with The Wild Man of RockTM are Sum 41, Green Day, and Peaches (more on her later), as well as regular cohorts The Stooges and The Trolls.
The album's all the better for the variety - Private Hell (with Green Day) is particularly fine, the clean crisp backing serving as the perfect counterpoint for Iggy's ragged vocal. This is the freshest, most vital material Iggy has produced in a long time.
The Igster also crops up on... well... oh my! Peaches, wash your mouth out with soap. You know, there is not a single lyric I can quote from this album in a family newspaper - but that doesn't stop this being infectious stuff.
Full of the kind of electro-loops you might find in the darker sort of 1980s synth-pop, this would be danceable if the lyrics didn't keep striking in the face like a wet kipper. Oh yes, and she's wearing a fake beard on the cover. Peaches insists she's not in it for the shock value. The heck she ain't.
