I MUST take issue with T Gibson's opinion of parish councils (October 2).
We here in Fulford are anything but self-satisfied. We work hand in hand with our ward committee and councillors.
Chairmen past and present work tirelessly and, of course, voluntarily for the benefit of all our parishioners.
Our ward councillor, Keith Aspen, supports us, attends our meetings and understands it takes 'two hands to clap'. As for our abolition to save money, come and see the Friends Of Fulford social hall in action and how much money we save.
Yes it is easy to criticise and name-call, but that does not make you right.
