TV CELEBRITY Harry Gration has opened a charity Christmas card shop in York.
The BBC Look North presenter officially opened Cards for Good Causes at St Martin's Church, Coney Street.
The charity is run by volunteers who help out year after year for the three months the shop opens. Mr Gration paid tribute to their work and support.
The presenter opened the shop last year, and was so impressed with the work of the team that he came back for this year's opening.
Manager Brian Turner said: "Harry came in and was very impressed with the set-up of the shop and he said he was pleased with the loyalty of the volunteers. He served a customer with a card and I gave him a cup of coffee." Harry wished the shop well and hoped they had a good season.
Organisers of the charity believe they provide one of the largest selection of Christmas cards in the region.
The shop will be open until December 16, Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm, and Saturdays, from 10.30am to 4pm.
