I WISH to put the record straight in response to your article "Extra space for residents" (September 19).
Our former warden, Mrs Lita Foster, was the person responsible for obtaining the Lottery grant for our new community room. She was also the person who started the sewing and handicraft sessions which take place three times a week and have done for several years.
I find it very unfair to name the community room after someone most of the residents don't even know, when the person who was most involved doesn't even get a mention.
Lewis Waddilove was a trustee many years ago but he had nothing to do with getting a Lottery grant or the building of the new community room.
