I READ that ten police constables and one sergeant are to be issued with bicycles (Evening Press, October 7).
This is great news.
It means that, at last, York will have 11 cyclists who will not cycle on the pavement, obey traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, not ride in pedestrian areas and, most of all, will have adequate and legal lights on dark winter nights.
