YORK is set for more international rugby league recognition after two more players were selected for Great Britain honours at junior level.
Dave Leeke and Adam Jones, both from York Acorn ARLC, have been selected for the National Camp at Under-14s level after shining for both the North Yorkshire Service Area and for Yorkshire at U-13 level, the former scoring three tries against North West Counties last month to win that game.
In addition, Sam Millward and Billy Parker, both from Scarborough Pirates, have also made it to the Lions train-on squad at U-15 level to boost the North Yorkshire presence in the junior GB set-up to six.
As reported in the Evening Press previously, New Earswick All Blacks duo Ross Divorty and Danny Allen have also been picked for the 40-strong GB U-15s train-on squad, which is to be whittled down to 22 for the international matches next year.
Leeke and Jones are both on the books of Super League side Castleford Tigers.
