GOALKEEPER Mark Ovendale kept tabs on the front-runners in the Evening Press Player of the year rankings with a man of the match display against Cambridge United last Saturday.
A clean-sheet and four important saves handed Ovendale, pictured above keeping another clean sheet aginst Huddersfield earlier in the season, the three points and saw the former Luton shot-stopper move into double figures.
Darren Dunning still leads the table despite failing to add to his points tally. However, Lee Bullock narrowed the gap by earning a point against United.
The remaining two points on offer last Saturday went to Leigh Wood, who continues to impress in the heart of the City defence.
Rankings: Dunning 16, Bullock 14, Ward 10, Ovendale 10, Wood 9, Hope 4, Brass 3, Nogan 3, Wise 3, Fox 1, George 1, Merris 1, Wilford 1
