UHOOMAGOO heads to Newcastle tomorrow for a slice of Sunday action and is recommended to backers, though only if they've got nerves of steel!
The gelding, trained by Kevin Ryan, is a talented handicapper, but is also very much a law unto himself as he proved at Ayr last time out.
Dropping himself to the rear of the field after leaving the stalls, Uhoomagoo was still stone-last of the runners three furlongs out.
But then, pulled to the outside, he finished like the proverbial express train and was travelling faster than anything in the final one hundred yards. Alas, the post came too soon and he had to settle for third place behind Ballyhurry.
Finding trouble in running is another infuriating habit adopted by Uhoomagoo, but when things go right, he's more than capable of coming out on top.
Over his best distance of seven furlongs, tomorrow's Saltwell Signs Handicap offers him another chance to shine. He could well win - but backers beware!
At Goodwood, Alrabab is given the nap vote in the Bet attheraces Fillies' Showcase Handicap.
The lightly-raced three-year-old, trained by Marcus Tregoning, did well to come off the pace to beat Jeepstar at Ripon last time and is open to further improvement. Another victory is on the cards.
Amanda Perratt fields a strong team tomorrow, on her local course, and elsewhere, and the Sussex trainer can score with the in-form Skye's Folly (1-30).
