IT'S brilliant to see the healthy survival of the circus without the exploitation of animals.
From the safety of a sofa's edge, I was gripped by the thrill of the Big Top (Evening Press, October 1). I read with bated breath and through splayed fingers about the dizzying spectacle of Stephen Lewis, who almost - though thankfully not quite - had his ears pinned back at the Cottle and Austen Electric Circus.
Despite my husband's comment that I "could cause bother in an empty house", I am going to suggest a substantial pay rise (danger money) for mighty Steve, as well as frequent breaks and holidays between performances.
