ALL 64 staff at Remploy York which employs local disabled people will benefit from a new partnership with Ufi/learndirect, the e-learning network, and SEMTA, the national training organisation for engineering manufacture.
The government-backed learndirect courses will be provided at Remploy York's in-house learning centre in Redeness Street.
Subjects, open to everyone from shop floor to senior executives, range from basic literacy to advance level management skills - offered in "bite-size" chunks through the Internet. This will allow each student to complete the course in their own time and at their own pace.
