WIGAN captain Andy Farrell was set to see a consultant today about a knee injury - and any bad news could affect the Warriors' chances in the Super League play-offs.
Farrell was substituted in the second half of Wigan's 25-12 elimination victory over Warrington on Saturday.
His side now face St Helens, conquerors of London Broncos, on Friday in an elimination semi-final, while the top two, Bradford and Leeds, meet in the qualifying semi-final on Saturday.
Leigh Centurions clinched a third Grand Final appearance in four years in National League One with an impressive 42-12 victory over Hull KR in yesterday's final eliminator.
Leigh now meet table-toppers Salford, who have not lost to the Centurions in five league and cup meetings this year, for a place in Super League.
Winger Leroy Rivett, who had a brief spell at York Wasps three years ago, scored two of Leigh's six tries.
The two finalists provide 13 of the 24-strong National League One representative squad for the match against New Zealand 'A' at Leigh on Sunday, November 2.
Keighley will meet Sheffield in next Sunday's National League Two Grand Final after winning 45-12 at Chorley, who had forward Mick Redford sent off for tripping, yesterday. Keighley, the league's early pace-setters, had finished third in the table, one behind Chorley, but have knocked out Hunslet, York City Knights' conquerors Barrow and now the Lynx on the way to the final.
