A brave fightback by Nestl Rowntree RUFC was not quite enough as they finished on the wrong side of a 29-32 result at Leodensians fourths.
Leos raced into the lead when their former England Schools winger went over for two tries. Trees countered with a converted try from centre Harry Seagrave and Ivor Jackson penalty and trailed 17-7 at half-time.
Leos backs added two second half tries and a penalty but good back play saw Rowntree fullback Gavin Pender go over. Some great driving mauls put Leos on the back foot and flanker Pete Shores and hooker Rob Lee drove over for tries, but the final whistle came too early for Nestl.
