At Sedgefield, Zibeline switches from Flat to hurdles is fancied to get his new career off to a winning start.

Trained at Norton by Brian Ellison, Zibeline, formerly with Rod Millman, has proved himself a useful, if slightly quirky, performer on the level, rising to a standard which has seen him run in such races at the Ebor Handicap at York and the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle.

The Bliss Novices' Hurdle is the target for the six-year-old tomorrow and he will only need to jump adequately to underline his class and take the prize. Vinnie Keane has the mount.

Ellison and Keane, who have such a good record on this course, can also take the Taylor Rowlands Claiming Hurdle with Shalbeblue.

Although it it more than four months since he last ran over jumps, the six-year-old was in recent action on the Flat and will certainly not fail here through lack of fitness. His overall form gives him an excellent chance.

In the Johnny Ridley Memorial Novices' Chase, Three Eagles looks the one to be on.

Trained by Michael Scudamore, and the mount of his grandson Tom, Three Eagles has taken well to fences this summer, winning two of his last three starts.

Nicky Richards could well complete a double with Al Mabrook in the Tote Exacta Hurdle and Big Wheel, a previous course winner, who returns from a ten-week break in the Black Sheep Brewery Handicap Chase. Tony Dobbin takes the mount on both horses from Richards' Greystoke yard.
