IT Sports Wigginton returned to winning ways by beating York SRC 4-1 in the Yorkshire Squash Premier Division.
Defending champions Wigginton lost a winning record stretching back 40 games against Chapel Allerton last week but retur-ned to form against a York team boasting new English star Lawrence de la Saux.
Wigginton were boosted by the return of number one Paul Hargrave and handed Derbyshire player Mitch Cook his debut at number four.
Team manager Ian Tooms gave Wigginton a flying start by beating James Buckland 3-0 before York fought back with a win for Nick Robinson against Cook (3-1). But wins for captain Matt Lowery over Matt Inglis (3-1), Jamie Hopwood against Nathan Hill (3-1) and Hargrave versus de la Saux (3-0) saw Wigginton triumph.
The IT Sports team's next match is at home to Pontefract.
